We are excited to announce the newly revamped Animal Ecology In Focus blog, along with our fresh new design we are pleased to welcome a new team for the blog.

Sarah Marley has joined us as Blog Editor; Sarah will be driving the blog forward by commissioning content for the blog and working with authors to promote their papers. Sarah is a marine mammologist and has recently submitted her PhD thesis to Curtin University, in which she examined the behavioural and acoustical responses of coastal dolphins to noisy environments.  In addition to her research-focused endeavours, Sarah has also worked in science communication for several years in both the UK and Australia.

Ravindra Palavalli Nettimi has joined us as Multimedia Editor. Ravi will be producing a new podcast and video series ‘Field Reports’ focusing on a day in the field of animal ecologists. Ravi will also be working with authors to promote their papers through podcasts and videos. Ravi is a PhD student in the Ecological neuroscience lab at Macquarie University, Sydney. He studies how being miniature affects the navigation behaviour in ants. Prior to his PhD, he worked on foraging ecology, mutualism, and social behaviours in ants and wasps at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune.
